Peter is a retired Chartered Surveyor. He is a past chairman of the Frogmore Village Community Association and a member and treasurer of St. Martin’s Church, Sherford District Church Council and a founding member of the Friends of St Martin’s Church. His career in both public and private sectors has been in urban and rural planning, development and property fund management and includes the regeneration of London Docklands.
Although brought up in Worcestershire, he has lifelong family connections with the parish. His great grandmother ran Frogmore bakery and was the first village post-mistress. Peter’s concerns for the parish include the need for enhanced community facilities, play areas and improvements to services, not least, to support the welcome increase in affordable homes. He co-led the Neighbourhood Plan team resulting in its adoption in May 2022 as part of the statutory development plan for the area. He is a campaigner for traffic speed reductions within the parish and for improved footpaths and cycleways linking village communities. Meanwhile his parish council responsibilities include monitoring planning and housing issues and the management of parish assets. Peter and his wife, Julie, have four married daughters and eleven grandchildren. |
