FROGMORE & SHERFORD PARISH COUNCIL

Covid-19 Community Support

The council would like to extend its thanks and gratitude to anyone in our community that has taken on additional work to provide support and assistance to those that have been more affected by social isolation measures taken to combat the spread of Covid-19.
Our homepage now includes a virtual noticeboard for some of the services and help available to parishioners during this time, as well as advice and information from relevant public bodies.
All information and contacts provided are subject to change. We will do our best to keep the notices up to date. If you would like to make an addition, correction, or retraction to any of the notices, please contact ben@frogmoreandsherford.co.uk

Parish Council

As with other tiers of local government, the parish council will continue to operate in as full a capacity as guidelines allow under the circumstances, but we have suspended public meetings for the time being.
If there are any issues or concerns you feel the council should address that you would normally raise during the open forum, please get in touch with a councillor directly, or reply to this email.

Neighbourhood Plan

The Neighbourhood Plan feedback deadline has been deferred by four weeks to Friday 1st May.
This is to give more time for parishioners to review and submit their feedback at a time when other concerns would understandably take priority.

Planning – Chillington

The parish council recently made a submission to South Hams Planning, regarding application 0265/20/ARM – 62 new houses in Chillington.
Our primary concern was the drainage proposal, which appears to present a significant risk to greater flooding at Frogmore.

Transport for Key Workers

Due to the reduction of bus services across the county, Devon County Council are trialling an on-demand subsidised taxi service for Devon residents for key workers accessing employment only.
This service is intended to replace those journeys which were previously made by bus – a subsidised flat fare will be charged.
Requests can only be made by email and should be sent to devonbus@devon.gov.uk

Please include the following information in your email:
NAME, ADDRESS, KEY WORKER STATUS, EMPLOYER / PAYROLL REF
JOURNEY REQUIREMENTS (pick up/drop off)

DCC will aim to respond to all requests as soon as possible during normal office hours – journeys should be booked 48 hours in advance of travel.
