THIS IS THE LATEST WEATHER FORECAST FOR THIS WEEKEND FOR DEVONSHIRE

Please be aware that we are expecting further snow showers over the weekend, with a YELLOW warning in place for Sunday all day. Not expected to be as bad as two weeks ago, but some travel could be disrupted and overnight travel on Saturday and Sunday is not recommended due to the potential snow and ice risk.

Weather/action summary

Saturday will see widespread snow showers, following the heavy rain around dawn, with up to 3cm. expected by the end of the day but this will be variable across the county with the higher expected on higher ground. Snow will be falling to roads when they are a few degrees above freezing so this should help reduce their impact.
On Saturday night the weather will be quieter with just some snow flurries, but temperatures will be falling to freezing or below overnight, and Sunday will be much colder.
On Sunday morning the risk of heavier snow is greater, but at present there is some uncertainty on amounts so it is worth listening to local weather forecasts over the weekend, as this situation will develop over the weekend.
Sunday night should have less precipitation but temperatures are expected to fall to -5C in place before warming up again next week.

Salting

Primary routes will be regularly treated throughout the weekend.
