Our Frogmore & Sherford Community
NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN
What Is A Neighbourhood Plan?
Having an adopted plan enables our parish to play a much stronger role in shaping the areas in which we live and work and in supporting new development proposals. The neighbourhood plan forms part of the development plan and sits alongside the Plymouth and South West Devon Joint Local Plan. Decisions on planning applications will be made using both the JLP and the neighbourhood plan, and any other material considerations.
Neighbourhood planning provides the opportunity for our parish to set out a positive vision for how we want our community to develop in ways that meet identified local need and make sense for local people. We have put in place planning policies that will help deliver this vision and grant planning permission for the development that we want to see, in addition to protecting vulnerable parts of the parish from unsustainable development.
