The beautiful parish church of St Martin, situated in the centre of Sherford village, was built in the late 14th century from local Charleton slate. It is a Grade 1 listed building and its fine 15th century rood screen is currently undergoing a programme of conservation. The register dates from 1713.

The bell tower houses six bells which are rung regularly. Practice is held on most Tuesday evenings from 8pm to 9pm.

Every Third Sunday at 11:00 a.m.
This service is a joint service with Stokenham. It is a shared service held alternately at St Martin’s, Sherford or St Michael’s, Stokenham.

Evensong
Every fourth Sunday at 6:00 p.m.
