The Coleridge Bus

A great way to get into Kingsbridge for your shopping, or to reach walking or cycling routes off the beaten track with no parking problems! A public bus service run entirely by friendly helpful volunteers!   For full information, timetables and much more see:  https://www.coleridgebus.co.uk/map.html

Kingsbridge Care Hub

Kingsbridge Care Hub is the purpose built community centre, ideally located adjacent to the town’s transport connections from which their own independent self-financing charity – Kingsbridge Age Concern – operates, serving the Over 55s community in and around Kingsbridge since 1981. They are wheelchair-accessible on the ground floor with disabled facilities and a stair lift to the first floor. For the avoidance of doubt, they are not connected with Age UK.

They provide freshly prepared, nutritious 3-course meals Monday to Friday for clients to enjoy within the Care Hub or delivered to their homes via a Meals on Wheels service serving a large geographical area.

They aim to provide an active social care and wellbeing service for clients (together with the families or carers who support them) by offering a range of activities and support at the Care Hub. These include gentle exercise classes with qualified trainers; arts and crafts groups; coffee mornings; Repair Cafes; Mustard Tree Cancer Outreach groups; community-led Compassionate Cafes and Alzheimer Society Memory Cafes; sing-along music sessions; play reading and amateur theatre groups; free Legal Advice Clinics and welfare and benefit Advice Centre open from 9.00am – 2.00pm Monday to Friday.  https://kingsbridgecare.org/
